People Services Administrator Salary: £26,824 - £29,540 Hours: 36.2 Hours Monday - Friday Contract: Permanent Location: Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Head Quarters however may require occasional work in our other locations in Greater Manchester Your role: We're excited to announce a fantastic opportunity in our People Services Advice team for an enthusiastic Administrator! Your main responsibility will be to provide outstanding administrative support to the People Service Directorate. Daily, you'll be engaging with various corporate databases and using Microsoft packages. Your involvement will be crucial in analysing data, enhancing processes, and improving the administration service we offer. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates professionalism and initiative, has a customer-focused attitude, and possesses excellent organisational skills to adeptly handle demanding workloads. When it comes to recruitment, we take a human-centred approach.
This means:
A trained hiring manager reads every application
Shortlisting is based on objective criteria required for the job
Interviews are conducted in person or via teams by the hiring manager for the role
All hiring decisions are made by hiring managers, not algorithms
AI does not make decisions in our recruitment process and our managers are being upskilled to spot AI in applications, particularly when this might have been used in a way that doesn’t feel genuine. If something in an application raises a question or concern, we will test this out with assessments or at the interview stage to confirm authenticity.
