Actual salary pro rata: £24,459 £26,532 per annum

36 hrs 40 mins per week/Term Time only (195 days)

SEN Allowance £1,539 per annum

Fixed Term/Secondment to 31st August 2027

Commencing 1st September 2026

The New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust is committed to supporting young people with additional needs to develop the skills, confidence and experience they need to progress into meaningful employment and greater independence. We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable Job Coaches to join our New Bridge College Pre-Internship/Bridging the Gap Team. Working across Oldham and Greater Manchester, you will play a vital role in supporting students within a variety of work placement settings and helping them achieve their employment goals.


The Role:

As a Job Coach, you will support students in real workplace environments, providing tailored guidance to help them develop their skills, confidence and independence. You may work with students on a one-to-one basis or support small groups as they undertake work-based learning opportunities.

The role also involves building and maintaining positive relationships with employers and other external partners to ensure placements run smoothly and to create new opportunities for our students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in workplace settings to develop employability and vocational skills
  • Deliver effective one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
  • Help students build confidence, independence and workplace readiness
  • Liaise with employers, placement providers and external agencies to ensure successful placements
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to relevant College staff
  • Identify and develop new work placement opportunities across the local area
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Promote positive employer engagement and champion inclusive employment opportunities.


About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people and/or individuals with additional needs
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is confident building relationships with employers and external stakeholders
  • Is organised, proactive and able to work independently
  • Has a passion for supporting young people into employment and greater independence
  • Can adapt to a variety of workplace environments and student needs
  • Preferably holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle
