Lamberhead Green Headstart Nursery is a well-established Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) nursery providing high-quality early-years care and education for children aged 2 to 4 years. The Role:

We are seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), plan and lead purposeful play-based activities, and contribute to observations, assessments and individual progress tracking.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting children’s care, learning and development in line with the EYFS.
• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Contributing to observations, assessments and next-step planning.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality procedures.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience working with children aged 24 in an early-years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS and child development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Warm, patient and encouraging approach.

Desirable:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or working towards Level 3).
• Experience with observations, assessments and planning.
• Knowledge of inclusive practice and supporting additional needs.
