Fylde council is a progressive local authority located on the Lancashire coast and is a major tourism destination attracting around three million visitors per annum, which places the role of the borough's green spaces high on our agenda. The authority has a proven track record of delivering high standards of parks management and grounds maintenance which result in numerous annual quality awards. The borough contains 6 Green flag award winning parks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Play and projects technician to assist the Play and projects team leader in their duties. 

Main responsibilities to include the repairs and maintenance of council and parishes play equipment, flagging and tarmac repairs, installation and repairs to benches, minor repairs to other council stock, landscaping and routine operational inspections of children's play equipment.

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in a similar role be conscious of the strict health and safety environment in which they are working and be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines. you will be reliable, self-motivated, courteous to customers and a good team player. ROSPA operational play inspection certificate and PA1 - PA6 are desirable and you should hold a B+E driving licence.
