What we want from you:

  • Experience and an understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues, or be willing to undertake training in these areas
  • Experience working with young people, ideally within a school, educational, or pastoral setting;
  • A passion for supporting students' wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and personal development;
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, colleagues, and external agencies;
  • Strong communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills, with excellent attention to detail;
  • The confidence to remain calm under pressure, using initiative and adapting to a range of situations and student needs;
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management, and supporting vulnerable young people;
  • A positive, resilient, and ambitious approach, with a genuine commitment to helping every student succeed;
  • Supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance and punctuality record.
