New Bridge Pathways is a thriving specialist 14-16 provision within New Bridge School, a highly regarded and ambitious special school serving over 700 pupils across four sites. We provide exceptional education and support for children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, preparing them for successful futures in further education, employment and adult life.

Following our most recent Ofsted inspection, inspectors recognised that New Bridge School continues to maintain the exceptionally high standards for which it is known, highlighting our ambition for every learner, our highly personalised curriculum, strong culture of inclusion and the significant impact we have on pupils' independence, communication and preparation for adulthood.

We are now seeking an exceptional Head of School to lead New Bridge Pathways.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and values-led leader who is passionate about improving the life chances of young people with SEND. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will provide day-to-day leadership of New Bridge Pathways, ensuring that our vision, values and strategic priorities are translated into outstanding daily experiences for pupils and staff. You will lead with clarity, integrity and optimism, creating a culture where high expectations, strong relationships and continuous improvement thrive.

  • Is an experienced and successful school leader with a strong track record of improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Has a deep commitment to inclusion and an unwavering belief in the potential of every learner.
  • Can inspire, develop and support staff while maintaining high expectations and accountability.
  • Understands how to translate strategic priorities into consistent, high-quality practice.
  • Has a strong grasp of curriculum, teaching, safeguarding and school improvement.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, staff, governors and external partners.
  • Demonstrates resilience, sound judgement and the ability to lead confidently in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Shares our commitment to ensuring that every child and young person is prepared for successful next steps in education, employment and adult life.
