Health and Wellbeing Referral Instructor | Full Time
Based at Blackpool Sports Centre, Palatine Leisure Centre, Moor Park Health & Leisure Centre

Do you have a passion for helping people transform their health, confidence and quality of life?

We're looking for enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated individual to join our Health & Wellbeing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support people living with long-term health conditions to become more active, improve their wellbeing and develop the confidence to make lasting lifestyle changes.

As a Health & Wellbeing Referral Instructor, you'll work with individuals who have been referred into our programmes through healthcare professionals and community partners. Through person-centred consultations, assessments, tailored activity programmes and ongoing encouragement, you'll help participants progress from referral through to long-term independence.

Every day is different. Whether you're supporting someone recovering from illness, helping a participant manage a long-term health condition, facilitating behaviour change conversations or delivering specialist sessions, you'll play a vital role in helping local residents take positive steps towards a healthier future.

You'll be joining a friendly, supportive and forward-thinking team that is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of Blackpool residents. We pride ourselves on creating welcoming environments where everyone feels encouraged, motivated and supported to succeed. As an organisation, we continue to invest in our people, programmes and facilities, recognising that by developing our workforce and enhancing our spaces, we can deliver the very best experience for both our staff and the communities we serve.

Why join Active Blackpool?

  • Supportive colleagues and ongoing professional development.
  • The chance to make a genuine difference to people's lives every day.
  • Opportunities to gain experience across innovative health and wellbeing programmes.
  • The chance to be part of an ambitious organisation that invests in both its workforce and facilities.

If you'd like to find out more about the role and the opportunities available within our Health & Wellbeing team, please contact Jenny Fairfield, Active Communities Manager, for an informal conversation by emailing jennifer.fairfield@blackpool.gov.uk.

Your support could be the catalyst for lasting change. Join Active Blackpool and help reduce health inequalities by empowering people to take control of their health, increase their confidence and live healthier, happier lives for longer.
