Are you passionate about early years education and giving children the strongest possible start to their school journey?

St Michael’s CE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and reflective EYFS Class Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team.

The successful candidate will teach within our Early Years Foundation Stage, creating an inspiring, inclusive environment where our youngest children feel safe, develop confidence and build strong foundations for future learning.

Our Christian vision and motto, “Rooted in Faith, Growing Together,” sit at the heart of school life. We are committed to helping every child and adult flourish academically, personally and spiritually. Our values of Resilience, Courage, Empathy, Kindness, Aspiration and Collaboration shape our relationships, teaching and approach to learning.

We are looking for an EYFS teacher who:
Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework, early childhood development and how young children learn.
Can plan and deliver purposeful, engaging learning through a thoughtful balance of play, adult led teaching and carefully developed continuous provision.
Creates stimulating indoor and outdoor environments that encourage curiosity, independence, exploration and creativity.
Places communication and language, early reading and early mathematics at the heart of their practice.
Uses observation and assessment effectively to identify children’s next steps and adapt teaching and provision.
Has high expectations for every child and responds sensitively to individual needs, including those of children with SEND.
Builds warm, trusting relationships with children and works closely with parents and carers to support learning and development.
Works collaboratively with teachers and support staff to provide a consistent, nurturing early year’s experience.
Is reflective, resilient and keen to develop their practice.
Models our school values and actively supports our inclusive Christian ethos.

We offer:
A warm, welcoming school community where relationships and wellbeing matter.
Curious, enthusiastic children who enjoy learning.
A dedicated and supportive staff team committed to providing high-quality education.
Opportunities to contribute to the continuing development of our EYFS provision.
Professional development tailored to your experience and career aspirations.
Support and mentoring for an Early Career Teacher.
Strong partnerships with families, our local church and the wider community.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. We would love you to meet our team and see our school in action.
