On 01 April 2020, Blackpool Council and Lancashire County Council formed a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA): Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool. We are excited to be expanding our Adoption Support Team with the addition of two qualified social worker positions on a 2 year fixed term basis.

We are expanding the support available to our adoptive families within Lancashire and Blackpool and are eager to welcome compassionate and family focused practitioners to support the development and delivery of our own, inhouse therapeutic provisions. We are recruiting two social workers on two-year fixed term contracts, who will be instrumental in crafting and implementing transformative therapeutic interventions and support to our adopted children and their families to help improve their wellbeing and strengthen their relationships. Ideally candidates would have some knowledge and experience of attachment, PACE principles and therapeutic parenting approaches as well as experience of working with children and families. However full training will be provided to the successful candidates.

Please ensure you have uploaded and attached your supporting statement to evidence how you meet the criteria for the role. The panel may be unable to shortlist you for interview without this evidence.

You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council.
