Contract: Supply Teacher (Casual)

Salary: £19,340 – £30,172 per annum

Hours: As and when required to cover contracted teachers when off sick or other reasons

Based: Rock Street and OCL Leisure Centres across the borough

Role Overview:

Working within the council’s School Swimming Service to provide safe swimming lessons to Oldham Schools across the borough. Helping to promote water safety and complete the national curriculum expectations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Teaching swimming to Oldham Primary schools
  • Administration of class records
  • Ongoing Lifeguard Training (one session per month)
  • Involvement in the water polo and School Galas

Key Requirements: 

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

  • ASA level 2 or equivalent in Aquatics
  • NPLQ Lifeguard qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate
